Overview

Summary of Position:

The Material Handler I is a part of a team working to support the Manufacturing Department in the Production of Drug Products. The position is responsible for receiving all general items, as well as Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) raw materials. The quarantining, releasing, and issuing of GMP material through the Business Central software system. The Material Handler will also assist in the labeling of clinical drug products and will also be assisting in the clinical drug product shipments, as well as shipping to contract labs for testing.

Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:

  • Learn company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks
  • Quarantine and release GMP materials following established procedures
  • Issue GMP materials to support Manufacturing
  • Assist with clinical vial labeling
  • Weekly cleaning of Material Management (MM) rooms and transport carts
  • Receipt of MFG retains and receipt of QC tested material retains.
  • File all Material Management (MM) associated documents, MM binder upkeep.
  • Distribute mail
  • Other responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Accuracy and reliability
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • The ability to multitask and to work independently and as part of a team
  • Problem solving and critical thinking
  • Knowledge of inventory tracking software
  • Preferably DOT/IATA training

Education/Experience:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in shipping and receiving preferred

Compensation Statement

The expected base salary for this position is: $42350.00 to $55000.00. We are committed to compensating employees equitably based on several factors including experience, education, licensure/certifications, skill level, location of the position, and availability of similar talent in a competitive market.

Subject to eligibility and applicable plan terms, compensation includes base salary, annual discretionary bonus, long term incentive, 401(K) plan with employer contribution, health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), paid holidays, vacation, and sick days.
